Abdurrahman RushdiPocketRoom is an AI and Augmented Reality (AR) powered furniture marketplace designed to transform the way people discover, visualize, and purchase furniture. One of the biggest challenges in online furniture shopping is the inability to accurately determine how a product will look, fit, or complement an existing space before making a purchase. This often leads to uncertainty, poor purchasing decisions, and costly product returns for both customers and retailers. PocketRoom addresses this problem by allowing users to place true-to-scale 3D furniture models directly into their real-world environment using their smartphone camera. Through AR visualization, users can view furniture from different angles, assess spatial compatibility, and make informed purchasing decisions with greater confidence. To further enhance the user experience, the platform incorporates AI-powered recommendations that suggest suitable furniture based on user preferences, style requirements, and budget constraints. In addition to benefiting customers, PocketRoom provides a digital marketplace for furniture retailers and manufacturers of all sizes, helping them showcase products to a wider audience without investing in expensive AR infrastructure. The platform’s multi-vendor architecture enables businesses to reach more customers while improving product discoverability.
