EventMaster is an event services marketplace that allows customers to find and keep track of the right vendors for their events. The customer creates an event for which the vendors provide their offers. The customer is then allowed to choose whichever offer they prefer. This process is further facilitated via the extensive list of features provided within the web application. These features include guided event creation, in-app review system, vendor portfolios, in-app messaging, vendor package creation and secure payments.

Unlike existing solutions that focus solely on booking or basic diagnostics, BlynQ creates an intelligent three-tier platform connecting vehicle owners, service centers, and technicians in real-time.

Our innovation lies in advanced OBD-II integration that provides live vehicle diagnostics with AI-powered interpretation, automatically translating complex fault codes into actionable insights for everyday users. InsightHive – A Multimodal Engagement Analysis Tool for E – Commerce SMEs

This is an application which will play a crucial role in improving the business strategies of
small to larger scaled businesses. Our system mainly focuses on helping the business to get
a clearer understanding of their customer base and increasing the business growth through
several components. Our system identifies separate segments of customers from specific
characteristics, predicting how much the customer will engage with their strategies,
sentiments of their customer base from different aspects and a fully-fledged product
recommendation system.

Small and medium scale businesses form the backbone to world’s economy; a situation
that fell apart when small businesses ran into hardships attaining target audience, reduce
visibility, and reduced sales between 2019 and 2020. The chief problem is that you don’t
have the capability to pinpoint the customer groups, understand the behavior and translate
the data into the marketing approach. To tackle this problem, in the proposed solution, it
analyses purchasing patterns, segments the customers, predicts customer engagement,
performs sentiment analysis and comes up with the personalized recommendation. The aim
of this approach is to improve the product reach and better customer targeting in order for
the businesses to meet the market demands, improve sales, and achieve sustainable growth.

Equity Portfolio Builder: Minimum Variance Portfolios for the Colombo Stock Exchange Stocks

Since the post-pandemic market rally, local and foreign investor participation in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has grown steadily. Despite this growth, the CSE remains undervalued compared to the regional peers, with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of approximately 8x and a market capitalisation to GDP of 19%, signalling significant untapped potential for long-term capital allocation. One of the major causes for this is the lack of retail investor participation. Retail and novice investors face challenges in constructing diversified, risk-minimised portfolios due to low liquidity, the lack of awareness in the Sri Lankan capital markets, and the lack of tools and applications for portfolio creation and management. They often rely on ad-hoc advice or personal sentiment, resulting in suboptimal returns and heightened exposure to market fluctuations.

This project proposes the ‘Equity Portfolio Builder’ web application that empowers retail investors to build and manage risk-optimised equity portfolios across all CSE-listed companies. Grounded in Markowitz’s Modern Portfolio Theory, the application uses a quadratic optimisation engine to compute optimal weight allocations, minimising portfolio variance by analysing historical price data to generate covariance matrices. It features automatic portfolio rebalancing to adapt to changing market conditions and user goals. It is delivered through an intuitive, transparent interface that simplifies complex statistical processes to be accessible to average retail and novice investors. This tool democratises sophisticated portfolio construction, enabling retail and novice investors to make informed, data-driven decisions, bridging a critical gap in Sri Lanka’s capital markets by offering a cost-effective, self-directed solution to enhance investment management and encourage market participation.
