This end-to-end system is designed to monitor a baby’s environment and ensure their safety and comfort through intelligent automation and real-time communication.
At the heart of the system is an IoT-enabled cradle equipped with sensors that detect humidity, motion, and other environmental factors. These readings are processed to assess the baby’s comfort level and identify unusual conditions, such as prolonged stillness or excess humidity, which could indicate a potential risk. When such events are detected, the system can trigger alerts or adjust cradle functions (e.g., vibration or music playback) to soothe the baby.
Complementing the hardware is a responsive website built with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. The website serves as an educational and promotional platform, offering detailed insights into the cradle’s features, technical architecture, and user benefits. It also provides instructions for setup and usage, making the technology accessible to non-technical users.
The project also features a mobile application that connects with the cradle in real-time. Parents can receive instant alerts, track environmental metrics, and remotely monitor cradle activity. This seamless connectivity ensures peace of mind and empowers parents with actionable data to make informed caregiving decisions.

Across the world, especially in developing regions, septic tanks lead to frequent overflows, environmental contamination, and public health hazards. With over 44% of global wastewater discharged untreated, there is an urgent need for innovative, real-time monitoring solutions that can proactively manage sanitation infrastructure, reduce health risks, and promote sustainable urban living. To address the global challenge of unmanaged septic tank overflows, we propose a smart septic tank monitoring system that uses IoT technology to provide real-time data, predictive alerts, and weather-integrated insights. By leveraging sensors, mobile applications, and cloud-based analytics, this solution empowers users to take preventive action, enhances maintenance efficiency, and supports safer sanitation practices, particularly in underserved and flood-prone communities worldwide.
ShiftSL

ShiftSL is a dynamic scheduling system designed to address the critical inefficiencies in roster and leave management within Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector. It provides a web dashboard for Ward Administrators and a mobile app for healthcare staff, streamlining communication, roster generation, and shift management.
Currently, hospitals rely on outdated methods such as Excel sheets and WhatsApp groups to assign shifts and handle last-minute replacements. This process is not only error-prone but also places a massive burden on administrators, who must manually coordinate with staff to fill in gaps. It also contributes to staff burnout, as doctors and nurses are often required to find their own replacements or cover additional shifts due to poor coordination.
ShiftSL solves this by allowing staff to update their availability and shift preferences through a user-friendly mobile app. Administrators can then automatically generate optimized rosters through the dashboard. The system also includes a smart leave management feature that sends notifications when a shift becomes available, assigns replacements based on suitability, and even splits shifts if no full replacement is found.
Beyond healthcare, ShiftSL can be extended to other service-based industries such as hotels, ports, and airports, where shift-based work is essential and manual scheduling leads to similar issues. By digitizing the scheduling process, ShiftSL improves operational efficiency, reduces administrative stress, and enhances employee well-being—making it a vital tool across multiple industries.
ChronoTix

ChronoTix is an intelligent timetable management system designed to simplify and automate the scheduling process in universities. Instead of relying on manual methods, which are often time-consuming and prone to conflicts, ChronoTix uses a smart algorithm to generate efficient, clash-free timetables for lectures, labs, and exams. The goal is to help students, academic staff and administrators save time, reduce errors, and ensure that resources like lecturers, classrooms, and students’ availability are used in the best possible way.
Built with a modern tech stack, the backend runs on Python using the Flask framework, while the frontend is developed with React for a smooth and user-friendly experience. Data is stored in MongoDB, allowing for flexible and efficient handling of academic information. ChronoTix supports different user roles—admins, lecturers, and students—each with their own dashboard and tools to manage or view timetables. It also includes features like room booking, personalised views, filtering options, and real-time updates.
One of the standout aspects of ChronoTix is its ability to adjust to different university needs. Users can set their own preferences for teaching hours, semester dates, and break times. By automating these tasks and resolving conflicts intelligently, ChronoTix takes the pressure off staff and gives students more reliable schedules. With its clean design and smart functionality, ChronoTix is a practical solution that improves how academic schedules are created and managed.

Mangrove ecosystems in Sri Lanka are being rapidly destroyed due to human activities such as deforestation, urbanization, and pollution, leading to the loss of biodiversity and disruption of local ecosystems. Our solution for this problem is coastalcanopy.org.lk; A community-driven web application designed to protect and restore Sri Lanka’s mangrove ecosystems. Key functionalities of our application are:
Community Reporting: Users can report issues such as illegal logging, coastal encroachments, or mangrove health concerns. Reports can be submitted anonymously to encourage participation in sensitive or high-risk areas.
Interactive Map: A dynamic map visualizes the current distribution and extension of mangroves across Sri Lanka.

Children with communication disorders, such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, aphasia, apraxia, Down syndrome, and speech delay, generally face many problems in articulating their thoughts and needs. This forms a barrier to communication that may lead to frustration, isolation, and hindrance in social development. These cases affect the interaction of a child, the learning process, and social relationships. An app called “Babble” will be developed to improve communication skills and livelihoods for kids in such conditions.
“Babble” aims to help children with communication disorders develop their communication skills and provide support for carers and educators. Some of its features include interactive flashcards, scenario-based sentence formation activities, and emergency access cards for helping children build up basic communication competencies in a fun yet supportive way.
“Babble” will offer tailored and flexible resources, equipping children to overcome different communication difficulties helping them express themselves and communicate with others. By equipping caregivers and educators with tools to track progress and adapt the app’s content to each child’s needs, “Babble” has the potential to significantly impact the social and emotional well-being of children with communication disorders.

EventMaster is an event services marketplace that allows customers to find and keep track of the right vendors for their events. The customer creates an event for which the vendors provide their offers. The customer is then allowed to choose whichever offer they prefer. This process is further facilitated via the extensive list of features provided within the web application. These features include guided event creation, in-app review system, vendor portfolios, in-app messaging, vendor package creation and secure payments.

BondTime leverages this window by providing parents with daily guided activities—such as sensory play, storytelling, physical interaction, and emotional expression—that enhance neural connections and promote secure attachment.
