ChronoTix is an intelligent timetable management system designed to simplify and automate the scheduling process in universities. Instead of relying on manual methods, which are often time-consuming and prone to conflicts, ChronoTix uses a smart algorithm to generate efficient, clash-free timetables for lectures, labs, and exams. The goal is to help students, academic staff and administrators save time, reduce errors, and ensure that resources like lecturers, classrooms, and students’ availability are used in the best possible way. Built with a modern tech stack, the backend runs on Python using the Flask framework, while the frontend is developed with React for a smooth and user-friendly experience. Data is stored in MongoDB, allowing for flexible and efficient handling of academic information. ChronoTix supports different user roles—admins, lecturers, and students—each with their own dashboard and tools to manage or view timetables. It also includes features like room booking, personalised views, filtering options, and real-time updates. One of the standout aspects of ChronoTix is its ability to adjust to different university needs. Users can set their own preferences for teaching hours, semester dates, and break times. By automating these tasks and resolving conflicts intelligently, ChronoTix takes the pressure off staff and gives students more reliable schedules. With its clean design and smart functionality, ChronoTix is a practical solution that improves how academic schedules are created and managed.
